1. Who is collecting your information?

We are Inside Climate News, a Pulitzer Prize-winning, non-profit, non-partisan news organization dedicated to covering climate change, energy and the environment. We are responsible for any information collected on our website.

2. What personally identifiable information is collected?

Personally identifiable information is information that identifies you, such as your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, or credit card number (if used to donate).

If you take steps to subscribe to our newsletter or donate to our organization, we will ask you to provide us with these kinds of personally identifiable information. We only obtain this kind of information when you choose to provide it. Individuals who give $35 a year or more may have their name published on our website and in our annual report. If you would prefer not to have your name published, please let us know.

ICN is not responsible for, and will not be liable for, the conduct, actions, omissions, or information handling or dissemination practices of third parties. Your information and data, whether personally identifying or not, may also be disclosed or distributed to another party with which ICN enters or reasonably may enter into a corporate transaction, such as, for example, a merger, consolidation, acquisition, or asset purchase, or to a third party pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other form of legal process, in response to a request by or on behalf of any local, state, federal, or other government agency, department, or body, whether or not pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other form of legal process, or if determined by ICN in its sole judgment that such disclosure or distribution is appropriate to protect the life, health, or property of ICN or any other person or entity.

We will not change the overall purpose of this policy, which is to protect your privacy consistent with our goals as a non-profit, non-partisan news organization dedicated to covering climate change, energy and the environment.
