ICN Local

About

The local media ecosystem that informs the public about critical environmental issues is collapsing, and its survival hinges on an endangered species: the environmental journalist. In the last 10 years, conversations around climate, energy and basic pollution protections have suffered from a hollowing out of local environmental news, particularly in the country’s interior.

Inside Climate News is working hard to bring this news back from the brink. We are hiring experienced reporters in key regions of the nation to write stories and collaborate with newsrooms to produce more in-depth environment reporting. We are also supporting the next generation of environmental journalists with freelance assignments and newsroom fellowships.
